Hey guys, quick thought here:
Maybe some night/nights before Christmas comes around we should spend the evening doing something cool for our wives/mothers/other-important-female-people-in-our-lives. I have no real idea what. It could be something manly and handy, or it could be something sensitive and culinary, or whatever. What do you think? If we planned far enough ahead we could probably come up with something cool that our [choose your relationship] would appreciate and that we could make personal and on the cheap.
Any thoughts?
P.S. Any votes on what we have to eat this week? I have money, and if I don't get a good suggestion I'm going to be creative about it.

Just one thought: I have a goodly supply of woodworking tools if we want to go that route, although most of them would be more useful for large-scale (think furniture) type applications, and not so much for smaller, decorative stuff.
We could make a bookshelf for my wife which I would then hold on to until I get said wife.
